This project in Kenton, NE3 was not the normal loft conversion for us. Instead it was a kitchen extension / sun room for the rear of the house. The client had a clear view of what he wanted prior to us getting involved. So together we came up with a plan and design for the extension. The aim, as always, was to achieve what he wanted and get the best out of the new kitchen and living area.

Downstairs completely reconfigured

We completely reconfigured the downstairs of the property. Taking out the old kitchen, removing walls and then building new ones to totally redesign a new room layout. The additional extension was then built on the back of the house so that the whole downstairs design now flowed from one room to the next. It gives a real open feel to the house and making the new extension really feel like it had always been a part of it.

A new downstairs toilet got installed and then the new kitchen was fitted. With new electrics throughout and an array of modern lighting installed both above the benches and underneath all of the base units. All of the lighting was fitted on a full dimmer system allowing the lighting to be adjusted according to the ambience required in the kitchen at any time.

French doors to give an open, airy space

We fitted french doors to the kitchen where the old kitchen window had been to give full access to the garden area. This created a beautiful open and airy space for the family to enjoy.

We also landscaped the garden, built a boundary wall, backfilled the area and the turfed it. We finished it off with a brick built barbecue at the bottom of the garden which made a lovely feature. The whole project from extension to barbecue was a pleasure to work on. The finished job really shows the pride and attention to detail that we put into every project, whether it’s a loft conversion or kitchen extension.

We have since completed some other projects in the NE3, Kenton area, after people have seen the work we have completed here.
